Auburn, ME School Guide

The Auburn area is home to many excellent schools which are sure to suit your family’s needs. Auburn offers outstanding public schools, private schools and colleges. The community is dedicated to providing an encouraging environment where students can learn to grow in a challenging and supportive setting.

Public Schools

The Auburn Public School District is committed to their students and their education. Parents and teachers continuously work together to ensure that they are on their way to becoming contributing members of Auburn’s society.

Here in Maine your child can attend any school outside the district (called intradistrict choice), including private schools, as long as the receiving school’s school board grants consent. Under the federal No Child Left Behind law, students attending a Title I school designated as “in need of improvement” have the right to attend a higher performing school in the district.
